Data Deletion

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Daily Mahj keeps most game data on your device. Local deletion is usually something you can do yourself, while an optional Friends account must be deleted separately as described below.

Delete on-device game data

Your local results history, streaks, chip balance, themes, and settings are stored in the App’s local storage. Deleting the app generally removes ordinary local app data. Apple may retain device or iCloud backups, purchase history, Keychain items, or similar system records under your Apple settings and policies. Local deletion is irreversible, and progress may not be recoverable afterward.

Delete an optional account

If you signed in with Apple to use Friends or leaderboards, you have a server-side account. Delete it in the app:

Open Daily Mahj and go to Settings
Tap Account
Tap Delete Account and confirm

This permanently removes your profile, invite code, friendships, and shared daily results from our backend within a reasonable period. Deletion is irreversible.

Uninstalling the app does not delete an account. If you removed the app before deleting your account, reinstall it and sign in to run the deletion flow, or email us using the request instructions below.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the in-app flow, email support@dailymahj.app with the subject “Delete my Daily Mahj data.” Tell us the display name or invite code on the account so we can locate it. We may need to verify your control of the associated Apple ID before we can act on the request.

What we may need to keep

Subscription and transaction records are held by Apple and RevenueCat for financial and legal compliance, independent of app account deletion. Deleting your Daily Mahj account does not cancel an active App Store subscription — manage that in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
